I am a self-proclaimed movieaholic (yet, I do not actually enjoy going to the theater to see movies like I did when I was much younger - I will wait for the DVD). I am obsessed with old Hollywood movies and classic British movies/shows/actors. I miss the glamour and elegance of it all - old Hollywood. I am a purist when it comes to my movie viewing and music listening (I like what I like). But, who amongst us isn't? I have been scribbling in one form or another all of my life. Most of my friends (God bless them), think that I am the strangest creature on this earth, and yet they have grown accustomed to personal idiosyncrasies when it comes to taste in movies, music, and etc; just as I have with them. It is always a delight to find out that we are viewing and listening to the same thing at the same time. It reminds me of a time when we were younger and carefree, and the whole world was ahead of us. I believe I enjoy writing more than the average person because it is the conversation that I can have for all of posterity. Writing, my dears...is becoming a dying art form. There is something so personal about writing a letter to another person. It can be as formal as a business letter or as intimate as a kiss. Whichever we choose, we put our souls into it and that's what matters the most. I would like to thank Brooke, for telling me about this website and helping me get started on my 21st century journey of written expression. Thank you, very much. I think I need to save the rest for the actual journal entry. I am looking forward to hearing from you, please drop a line when you get a chance.
